Turmeric shots are a palatable way to get turmeric in your diet each day. When I first began adding turmeric to my daily routine, I would add it to a dish or certain food. However, the flavor profile of turmeric can be overwhelming. Therefore, I experimented with different ideas and came up with the turmeric shot that incorporates juice and black pepper. Research shows that taking turmeric with black pepper greatly increasing the absorption rate.
As a huge Dr. Greger fan of NutritionFacts.org, I do follow his research. As part of his daily dozen list, he recommends 1/4 tea. of turmeric each day to help reduce inflammation in the body as well as other health benefits.

Turmeric Shots
Equipment
- 6 small glass bottles w/ lids
Ingredients
- 12 oz orange juice
- 2-1/2 tea turmeric
- black pepper
Instructions
- Add approximately 2 oz of orange juice to each bottle.
- Add 1/4 tea. of turmeric to each bottle.
- Add a pinch of black pepper to each bottle.
- Shake well. Store in the refrigerator to enjoy throughout the week.
