Creamy Chocolate Pudding - Vegan Style
Ingredients
- 1/2 c unsweetened cacao powder
- 2 tbsp corn starch or thickener
- 1-1/2 c nondairy milk, divided
- 5 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tea vanilla extract
Instructions
- Place cacao powder in cornstarch in a small saucepan. Over medium heat, whisk in approximately 1/2 cup of milk until blended.
- Once combined and blended, stir in the remainder cup of milk and the maple syrup. Continue to stir until thoroughly combined.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat, continually whisking for 2-3 minutes or until it becomes bubbly and forms a thick sauce.
- Remove from heat. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container up to a week. ENJOY!
