These CopyCat Snickers Bars are a healthier version of the original. Three simple ingredients when combined make such a delicious treat! They truly hit the spot when I need something sweet or chocolatey. Use Medjool or Deglet dates, either will work!
CopyCat Snickers Bar
Ingredients
- 12 ea Medjool or Deglet Dates
- peanut butter, natural
- 1/2 c dairy-free chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Place chocolate chips in a small glass bowl. Heat in the microwave at 50 percent power, stirring occasionally with a spoon (30 second increments), until the chocolate is melted Stir chocolate until smooth.
- Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the dates on the lined baking sheet.
- Slice the date length wise and gently pull open to expose the inside.
- Spoon in 1-2 tsp of peanut butter and gently push back together. The date will not close all the way.
- Spoon a small amount (desired amount) of chocolate over the exposed peanut butter and spread with the back of the spoon or with a butter knife.
- Place the cookie sheet in the freezer for 15-30 minutes. The chocolate will turn to a soft shell when frozen. ENJOY!
