No-bake brownie bites made with dates, cocoa powder, plant-based milk, oatmeal, and maple syrup offer a delightful and healthier alternative to traditional brownies. These delicious treats are not only easy to prepare but also pack a nutritional punch.
Ingredients:
Dates:
Dates provide natural sweetness and contribute to the chewy texture. A benefit for the date is while providing a sweet flavor, the fiber of the date remains intact which is beneficial.
Dates serve as a natural sweetener due to their high sugar content, making them a healthier alternative to refined sugars. They can be used in various recipes to add sweetness without the need for additional sugars.
Cocoa Powder:
Cocoa powder adds a rich chocolatey flavor. The cocoa powder is a potent source of antioxidants, such as flavonoids, which help neutralize free radicals in the body, reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.
Oatmeal:
Oatmeal, made from whole oats, is a nutritious and versatile food that offers several health benefits:
- Rich in Nutrients: Oatmeal is a good source of important nutrients, including fiber, protein, vitamins (especially B vitamins), and minerals such as manganese, phosphorus, and magnesium.
- High in Soluble Fiber: The soluble fiber beta-glucan found in oats has been linked to various health benefits. It helps lower cholesterol levels, promotes heart health, and contributes to better blood sugar control.
Plant-Based Milk:
Plant-based milk ensures a creamy consistency.
Maple Syrup:
Maple syrup enhances the sweetness with its distinct, natural taste.
The absence of baking makes these brownie bites a quick and fuss-free option for satisfying chocolate cravings. Enjoy these guilt-free no-bake brownie bites as a tasty snack or dessert that aligns with your health-conscious lifestyle. Also adding a chocolate plant-based protein powder is optional if you would like to increase the protein count in this recipe. It works nicely with or without the added protein.
