Cashew Milk Recipe
Cashew milk is creamy, delicious, and easy to make. It is also full of nutrients and pairs nicely with cereal and coffee. A cold glass is super refreshing on a hot summer day.
Equipment
- 1 High speed blender ex. Vitamix
Ingredients
- 1/2 c cashews
- 2 c water
- 1 tbsp maple syrup, optional
- 1 tea vanilla, optional
- sprinkle of cinnamon, optional
Instructions
- Add the cashews and water to the blender and blend until the cashews are pulverized and there is a smooth consistency.
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend for an additional 10 seconds.
- Straining should not be required if using a high powered blender.
- Pour into glasses and sprinkle on cinnamon, if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
Water to cashew ratio is 4:1. I believe this gives a creamy consistency. If you desire a creamier milk, cut down on the water.
Cashew milk can be used to make vegan cheeses. If using for this purpose, use the cashews and water only and omit the remaining ingredients.
