Drain and rinse the chickpeas (reserving the liquid). Then place in blender/food processor.
Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and process for 1-2 minutes or until the chickpeas are smooth. If you are not using a high powered blender/processor, it may be necessary to scrape the sides of the blender a few times while processing.
Process until the hummus reaches your desired consistency.
This hummus is great on fresh vegetables, as a sandwich spread or as a salad topper.
It will last in the refrigerator for 7-10 days or in the freezer for approximately 6 months.
