Ingredients
  

  • 1 16 oz can of black beans, do not drain
  • 2 tbsp water - to sauté onion and garlic
  • 1/2 c chopped onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced or chopped
  • 1/4 c chopped cilantro
  • 1 tea cumin
  • 1/2 tea salt

Instructions
 

  • This recipe is so easy to make with staple ingredients. Feel free to substitute the fresh garlic with garlic powder, etc.

  • Add the 2 tablespoons of water to the saucepan. Add the onions and garlic to the saucepan and cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Cook until the onions begin to soften.

  • Add the undrained black beans, cilantro, cumin, and salt (if desired). Stir well and reduce heat to medium low. Cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Taste and season to your liking. Sprinkle with your favorite toppings such as more cilantro, chopped onion, or salsa. Enjoy!
