Healthier Enchilada Sauce

This enchilada sauce is so tasty, easy to prepare and vegan. It uses typical pantry staples. The sauce can be prepared ahead of time and frozen into portions or kept in the fridge for 7 to 10 days. Use it for enchiladas, burritos, etc. The sauce is big on taste and small on extra additives and preservatives.

- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
- 1 to 1-1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tea onion powder
- 1/8 tea garlic powder
Whisk together the ingredients in a saucepan.
Stir in 1-1/2 cups of cold water and stir to mix.
Cook and stir. Simmer for approximately 5 minutes.
Makes approximately 2-1/2 cups.
